In honor of the 7 million people who protested for our freedom, here’s a reminder of how advocacy nurtures our mental health.

If you protested this weekend, tell me how you felt below!

🌙 1 in 3 adults aren’t getting enough sleep.
And not in a “haha we’re all tired” kind of way.
In a way that deeply impacts your ability to feel joy, to think clearly, to care for others—and to care for yourself.

Solid sleep isn’t a luxury.
It’s foundational.
And sometimes we need a little help finding our way back to it.

Stitching with to offer you just that—a soft, simple tool to help your body unwind in under 30 seconds.

Soften your jaw. Drop your shoulders. Let your body know it’s safe to let go.

This works a lot better if you want it to work.
So lean in. You deserve to feel rested.

💬 Let me know if you try it.
And send this to someone whose heart (and nervous system) could use a little exhale tonight.

Grief for children of immigrants is layered.

When our immigrant parent passes away,
we don’t just lose them.
We lose the chance for them to see our future selves.
The healed, thriving versions of us
that exist because of what they carried.

We grieve the opportunities they never had,
the dreams they never got to imagine,
and the life they never got to fully live.

It’s love, pride, sorrow, and gratitude
all living in the same breath.

And while this isn’t an experience exclusive to immigrant families,
it’s one many of us know deeply.
The longing to be seen by the ones
who gave everything for us.
The hope that somewhere, somehow,
they know we made it.

💭 If this resonates with you, save this post to come back to later
and share it with someone who might need to feel less alone in their grief.

When your house looks like your brain feels 🫠
Here’s how to clean without spiraling — 5 steps inspired by KC Davis’ How to Keep House While Drowning.
Because sometimes instructions help us move out of stuck one step at a time.

“Five Things Method”
Instead of seeing an overwhelming room, try breaking it down into five simple categories:

1️⃣ Trash — Grab a bag and toss all the garbage. Don’t worry about anything else yet.
2️⃣ Dishes — Collect every dirty dish or cup and bring them to the sink (no need to wash yet).
3️⃣ Laundry — Gather all the dirty clothes and linens into one basket or hamper.
4️⃣ Things that have a place — Return items to their homes, or make piles by room if that’s easier.
5️⃣ Things that don’t have a place — Everything left goes in a single basket to sort later.

KC Davis is the queen of compassionate care tasks. 💛
Her book How to Keep House While Drowning reframes cleaning as an act of kindness toward yourself — not a moral test.

If you’ve ever felt paralyzed by the mess or stuck in the shame spiral, go get this book.
It’s a gentle reset for your brain and your space.

🫶 Save this for the next time you’re overwhelmed — or share it with a friend who might need the reminder that care tasks are morally neutral.
