At Empowered services we specialize in providing Direct Support to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to help our customers live fulfilling lives by connecting them with providers that can guide them in achieving their goals and aspirations. We understand that every individual is unique, which is why we take a very personalized approach to our services. The Empowered Services team is dedicated to matching our customers with the best possible provider to meet their specific needs and preferences. We take great pride in our ability to make and maintain meaningful connections between our customers and providers— helping them both thrive. Congratulations, Chuck! Your dedication and hard work have set a remarkable example within our community.

Chuck is the definition of resilience someone who has never allowed life's challenges to define or limit him. A devoted family man married for 31 years, Chuck has a lifelong passion for mentoring, from coaching his two sons' sports teams to leading as a Scoutmaster.

Today, as a Direct Support Professional, he uses his degree in Special Education to make a massive impact. Chuck loves bonding with his customers over 1950s classic rock and genuine conversation. Whether he's experiencing a "lightbulb moment" with a customer or collaborating with our office staff, Chuck's positive energy is contagious.

From the basketball court to his youth group, Matthew is all about community and belonging. We love his spirit, his confidence, and the way he makes everyone around him feel included.

They provide a vibrant, supportive space in the Pearl District for artists with autism and I/DD to explore their creativity and connect with others. From serious studio work to the pure joy of making something new, they celebrate it all!

If you’re looking for a fun, relaxed activity next Friday, The Connection Club and The Autism Society of Oregon are hosting a Lego building afternoon. It’s a great way to get creative, grab a snack, and you even get to take your Lego project home!
