Happy FRIDAY everyone! So I've been quite lately and I haven't been posting new content like I used to. I thought I would take a moment and explain what's up.

First, THANK YOU to all my followers and Lactation clients (past and present) out there! You are AMAZING and I could not do this without you. Please be assured, I am DEEPLY moved by every text, email, phone call, word-of-mouth referral, review, hug, and note I have received. YOU are why I do this and I appreciate your trust.

Second, Teapot Lactation is rocking along as busy as ever and I'm still taking on new clients for home and virtual lactation services. Teapot Lactation still offers payment options for all and I'm excited to introduce new ways to access my services! DM for more info!

Last, I'm posting today to announce that I will no longer be sharing new content here. While I remain thankful for the many connections I've made on socials, I no longer feel this is a safe and inclusive space. Yes, it's been a while. TBH, I've been struggling with the weight of daily life in our world. I hurt for the struggling families and I cringe at the violence, threats, misinformation, and outright hatred I see spreading everywhere. These are challenging times, especially for new parents. But one thing that will never change is that I'm here to unapologetically and FIERCELY protect the Mother. No matter what. If you're a new parent who is feeling overwhelmed, please know I'm a SAFE person who is here to offer support. WE INTERRUPT THE SCHEDULED (LACTATION-RELATED) PROGRAMMING TO BRING YOU THIS IMPORTANT MESSAGE. It's no secret that lots of families are struggling right now. For many, many reasons, our friends and neighbors are fighting to provide food for their families and I'm asking for your help. From now through the end of 2025, I'm collecting non-expired food items (listed) at home and office visits and I'll be taking the donations to Jenks Community Food Bank. Our community needs help...so let's work together and get it done! Please DM with questions or for more info on how you can help combat hunger in our community! Let's come together and leave NO community member without food this holiday season.

SAVE THIS ONE, PUMPING MAMAS!!! No matter what trends and hacks become popular on social media (some just give me the heebie-jeebies), I'll always believe the only way to truly resolve pumping problems is to understand the root cause of the issue. Is it blocked ducts? Improper fl**ge sizing? Anatomy? Decreased milk supply?

After seeing hundreds of moms like you for pumping concerns, I have found the most common complaint I hear is that supply has "dropped" based on lower pumping yields. This typically happens around the time a mom returns to work, and it can really contribute to a lot of anxiety around feeding and pumping.......even leading some moms to abandon pumping before they reach their goals. What I often FIND through investigation is that the milk is still there, but it's not coming OUT during pumping!! Eeek! How utterly frustrating!!! 😠

How to resolve this issue? Spoiler Alert: The problem is the LETDOWN REFLEX, not the milk supply. Sound familiar? DM me for more info!!

The Mamas ask and Teapotter answers!! This question has become a hot topic in the past few months, but YOU DESERVE TO KNOW what your health insurance policy covers. Fun Fact: Commercial Insurers in the USA have been Federally Mandated to cover Lactation services as preventive health care since the ACA went into effect with few exceptions, so if your insurance policy doesn't cover Lactation....ask WHY??
