Let’s call the holidays what they really are: just a few days.
When you step back and look at it, the holiday “season” is mostly made up of regular days, with a few celebration days sprinkled in.
The key to feeling good this time of year isn’t restriction. It’s giving yourself freedom on those special days and returning to your usual health habits the rest of the time.
Don’t stress about the pie.
Or the mashed potatoes.
Or the cheese board.
Eat the chocolate bark (especially with almonds).
A few days of joy won’t harm your health. But the guilt and stress from constant food policing? That just might.
