It has been a journey to unshackle the harmful beliefs I held about therapy, one I will most likely never be done with. But I’m moving forward with the understanding that I am responsible for how I show up and the impact I have. I am not the expert, the healer, the guru or the authority over someone’s life. I am the companion, the one who stays present without needing to fix.

Today in therapy, I met two different parts of me. I was surprised, not because they were unfamiliar, but because I could finally see why they took the shapes they did.

Today wasn’t about choosing between them.
It was about honoring how hard they worked
and learning how to hold them with more care than they were ever given.

I’m sharing my inner system as a way of honoring my parts’ stories, not to explain, teach, or fix anything,
but as an offering. For anyone who recognizes themselves here, you’re not broken. You adapted. And now, you get to tend.
