With nearly one million patient visits per year, OU Health Physicians provides healthcare with a depth and breadth of expertise that is unmatched in the region. Locations range from the Oklahoma Health Center in downtown Oklahoma City to 23 total clinics in the Oklahoma City area, Edmond and Midwest City. 🌟 Meet Dr. Ali - Bringing Excellence to Pediatric Care in Tulsa 🌟

At the Early Lifestyle Intervention (ELI) Clinic, we’re proud to introduce Dr. Ali, a board-certified specialist in Obesity Medicine and Pediatrics who is passionate about helping Tulsa families build healthier futures.

As the clinic physician, Dr. Ali leads the medical assessment, identifies related health concerns, and guides a personalized treatment plan for each child. She works closely with our multidisciplinary team, including our dietitian, behavioral health specialist, and care coordinator, to ensure families receive integrated, consistent, and compassionate support.

What truly sets Dr. Ali apart is her journey and her heart. She began her medical career in Obstetrics & Gynecology, but after having her first son, she felt called pediatrics, a place where her passion and purpose aligned. Choosing Tulsa was easy: a welcoming community and a wonderful place to raise a family.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Ali loves exploring new places, playing pickleball, and diving into a good book. ✈️🏓📚

Our physician leads the medical assessment, identifies any related health concerns, and guides the overall plan. From there, our multidisciplinary team collaborates to support each child from every angle. The dietitian provides personalized nutrition guidance, and our behavioral health specialist helps build motivation and healthy habits that last.

What makes this team unique is how intentionally we communicate. We share updates, align our recommendations, and create one clear, cohesive plan so families feel supported rather than overwhelmed. Every child’s journey is unique, and we tailor our care to ensure each family feels seen, understood, and empowered.

🌟 Meet Registered Dietitian Rachel! 🌟
At OU Health Physicians Pediatrics in Tulsa, we’re proud to introduce Rachel Helt, our Pediatric Registered Dietitian with the ELI Clinic, who brings warmth, partnership, and expertise to every family she serves.

Rachel works with families, not just for them, to help navigate everything from mealtime battles to building healthy lifestyle habits together. Whether it’s picky eating, weight concerns (overweight or low weight), supporting youth athletes, or guiding patients through eating disorder challenges, Rachel brings practical strategies, compassion, and a whole-family approach to care.

After earning her Master’s in Nutrition from OSU, Rachel returned to Tulsa to support patients of all ages—from 6 months to 100 years old. In her time with OU, she’s continued to pour her heart into serving families with infants through teens, helping them find confidence and connection around food and health.

When she’s not collaborating with families, you can almost always find Rachel enjoying movement outdoors with friends and family, cozied up under a blanket with a good book, or in the kitchen experimenting with something delicious (especially curries!).

Helping Tulsa families build healthy futures, one child, one story, one step at a time.

At the Early Lifestyle Intervention (ELI) Clinic at OU Health Physicians Pediatrics, we know that health care isn’t always black or white. There are a lot of grey areas, and that’s exactly where this team shines. We take the time to see the whole picture and provide individualized care rooted in compassion, understanding, and expertise.

Our multidisciplinary team, including a physician, psychologist, dietitian, nurse, and patient care coordinator, partners with families who are concerned about their child’s weight or future risk of disease. Together, we help children and adolescents ages 2–18 build balanced, healthy lifestyles that last.

Because when it comes to caring for our patients, one size never fits all. Every child’s journey is personal, and our team is here to support them every step of the way.

Tulsa Patients and Staff,

To accommodate a large event on campus tomorrow, some parking will be reserved, and campus entrances will be blocked beginning late tonight and until early morning on Friday, Nov. 14.

Parking in front and to the east of the Admin building, as well as the library lot, will be unavailable. The northern most entrance off Yale will also be blocked, and no one will be able to drive in front of or to the east of the Admin building (Building 1 on the attached map). Please see the attached map. The blocked roads are marked in red, and the parking marked in green will be reserved and unavailable.

Parking will still be available in all Learning Center lots, on the west side of campus, and on the second and third floors of the parking garage. As always, the first level and ramp to the second level of the parking garage are reserved for Schusterman Center Clinic patients.
