When: November 18th 2:00 - 5:00 PM and November 19th 9:00 - 11:00 AM

Inclusion Criteria:
•Cervical: C2-C8 inclusive
•Chronic
•Non-progressive
•Incomplete: Grade B, C, or D on the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) Impairment Scale (AIS)

Exclusion Criteria:
The ARCEX System should not be used on patients with active implantable devices or wearable defibrillators.

Activity-Based Therapy (ABT) refers to “training interventions that target activation of the neuromuscular system of the affected areas, with the goal of retraining the nervous system to recover a specific motor task.” Intense physical activity has been shown to improve function and health outcomes in individuals with chronic traumatic brain injury (TBI) and spinal cord injury (SCI) and other neurologic conditions.

ABT focuses on the concept of “Neuroplasticity”. Neuroplasticity is the ability of the brain to form and reorganize connections, leading to improvements in function following injury or diagnosis.

Exciting things are happening at DEFY Neuro Rehabilitation! This week we installed signage! We are truly closer than ever to opening our doors and we are excited to provide Activity-Based Therapy (ABT), along with many other therapies and benefits for brain and spinal cord injury survivors.

We would like to offer a BIG thank you to supporters, donors, volunteers, Board of Directors, and friends for getting us to where we are today! We can’t wait to share more VERY soon!

Join the Tulsa Brain Injury Support Group on July 17th for a fun-filled evening of games, laughter, and connection! This meeting will be held at DEFY Neuro Rehabilitation!

We’ll have easy-to-learn games, snacks, and a welcoming space to meet others who understand life after brain injury. Survivors, caregivers, and friends are all welcome—no pressure, just support. 💚
