University Village Retirement Community

University Village Retirement Community A Tradition of Caring for over 50 years For 50 years, University Village has been one of the leading senior living communities in Tulsa.

Our excellent reputation is a result of a professional and caring staff and a legacy of committed ownership. University Village is owned by a group of local, Christian business leaders who understand the responsibility they have in shepherding the community through its next 50 years and beyond in service to Tulsa seniors and their families.

It’s not required. They just do it anyway.

Every month, Yvonne and Carmen take Live Horse Races to another level with over-the-top costumes and full commitment to the theme. The residents wait for it — and they never disappoint.

This is the kind of spirit that makes community special.

This is how we do a Winter Ball.

Beautiful tables, sparkling drinks, sweet treats… and a dance floor that did not stay empty for long. By the time the conga line started, the whole room was moving.

Moments like this are what make community feel alive.

You can feel it the second the cage starts spinning.

Prime Time Bingo is part competition, part comedy, and all community. Cards out, eyes focused, neighbors side by side.

After all these years… you’d think they’d know.

At our Valentine’s Party, the Not-So-Newlywed Game took a turn when we asked the husbands what they’d find in their wife’s purse (besides a wallet). The wives had to guess what their husbands said — and let’s just say… only one couple nailed it.

Good thing love doesn’t depend on purse inventory. 💕

This isn’t just a knitting circle.

The Yarn Spinners bring decades of skill to the table — knitting, quilting, needlepoint — hands that have been creating beautiful things for years. Right now, that talent is going toward baby caps for the PICU at St. Francis, lap blankets for neighbors in long-term care, and one very special baby blanket for a great-granddaughter on the way.

Talent like this deserves to be seen. Follow along for more moments that show how community really looks here.

You haven’t seen horse racing like this.

Six “horses,” a giant game board, residents rolling the dice, and three to four races in one afternoon. It’s loud, competitive, and one of our favorite monthly traditions — complete with tokens for winners and candy at the finish line.

Calendar reveal day is kind of a big deal around here. 📅

At our monthly assisted living meeting, residents get the inside scoop on all the fun coming up — from favorite activities to special events worth circling.

Because half the fun is knowing what’s next… and the other half is showing up.

Before we fully pack up the Christmas season… we had to share this. 🎹

Wade Daniel closed out the holidays at University Village with a beautiful Christmas concert that had our residents smiling, humming along, and soaking in every note. From classic carols to familiar seasonal favorites, it was one of those moments that felt calm, joyful, and exactly what December is meant to hold.

A perfect final bow on the season before we step into a brand-new year.

spent the day sharing music and joy with our residents — from carolers visiting the health center Thursday night to ninety kindergarteners filling the halls with Christmas songs earlier in the day. It was one of those moments that instantly felt special (and a little magical).

We’re so grateful for groups like Victory Church who take the time to bring warmth and kindness into our senior living community here in Tulsa. Those simple acts mean more than they probably know.

Share this with someone who loves seeing the heart of the season in action.

FIRST season in the National League… and the UV Alley Cats made the FINALS. 🎳

Talk about showing up strong! Our team just submitted their final score after facing off with the Future Strikers from Indianapolis, and now we’re on pins and needles waiting for the weekend results.

Win or not, these residents (and all of our UV teams!) made us so incredibly proud. Their energy, teamwork, and love for the game are exactly what make senior living at UV so special.

Send them some good-luck cheers in the comments — they’ll be thrilled to see them! 💛

Forget front-row seats—our residents had the best show in town right at home.

Our residents had the best afternoon listening to the Raintree County Band light up the Stovall Theater. From toe-tapping classics to sing-along favorites, the energy was contagious and the smiles said it all.

Moments like these remind us that community is about more than just living in the same place—it’s about sharing experiences that bring joy, laughter, and connection.

Ever wondered what 100 years of life looks like on paper?

We were honored to welcome back sketch artist Romney Nesbitt, who has visited UV before to draw our veterans, and this time she created portraits of our seven centenarians. Dorothy and Mary’s portraits are featured here, each one capturing the spark of a century well lived.

These moments remind us how special it is to celebrate the lives and stories of our residents.
