Tulsa Shambhala Meditation Group

Tulsa Shambhala Meditation Group The Shambhala Vision for Enlightened Society is rooted in the principle that every human being has a fundamental nature of basic goodness.

Throughout history, people have aspired to create societies that express the dignity of human existence within a wise, flourishing culture. This is the vision of Shambhala - a legendary enlightened society. The first king of Shambhala, Dawa Sangpo received teachings directly from Shakyamuni Buddha; teachings on the inseparability of spirituality and everyday life. The Tibetan meditation master Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche carried this tradition into the modern world. He writes,
"The Shambhala teachings are founded on the premise that there is basic human wisdom that can help solve the worlds problems. This wisdom does not belong to any one culture or religion, nor does it come only from the west or the east. Rather, it is a tradition of human warriorship that has existed in many cultures, at many times throughtout history." Warriorship is a path of bravery, gentleness, and genuineness. At the heart of the Shambhala warrior tradition is the view that a brilliant life is accessible to everyone. Contemplative practices bring a natural sense of goodness, fearlessness, and humor into our path.

🌍 This is bigger than a movement. This is humanity remembering itself.

As of Feb 10, 2026, Walk For Peace is not just being seen — it is being felt across the world:
✅ Every one of the 50 U.S. states
✅ 4 U.S. territories
✅ 92 countries
 and growing

This is not about numbers.
This is about hearts opening.
This is about strangers choosing kindness.
This is about hope walking — step by step — across this Earth.

From silent villages to crowded cities, people are stopping, watching, reflecting
 and something inside them softens.
Monks walking with discipline, compassion, and quiet strength are reminding the world that peace is not a theory — it is a practice.

And beside them, Aloka — the Peace Dog — is touching souls in a way words never can.
A symbol of loyalty.
A symbol of innocence.
A living reminder that love does not need language, religion, or borders.

Children smile.
Strangers bow.
People cry.
People reconnect with something they thought they lost — humanity.

This walk is planting seeds of kindness in places statistics can never measure.
It is teaching the world that peace is not built in conference rooms.
Peace is built in footsteps. In presence. In compassion shared between living beings.

If this is not recognition-worthy
 what is?

This is what global hope looks like.
This is what collective awakening feels like.

Share this. Let the world see how powerful goodness can be when it walks together.

May you be safe.
May you be loved.
May you be peaceful. 💛

Weekend Meditation Retreat
The Art of Being Human: Shambhala Training Level 1

You don’t need to be a monk, a mystic, or a “calm person” to meditate.
You just need a willingness to sit down and explore your own mind.

Meditation is not about becoming someone different—it’s about becoming more fully yourself.

Shambhala Training offers a practical, secular path to uncovering your natural confidence, openness, and courage. Through meditation practice and the teachings of Shambhala Warriorship, you’ll discover how gentleness and fearlessness can go hand in hand—both on the cushion and in everyday life.

This first-level weekend retreat includes:

- Clear meditation instruction and practice

- Teachings on being present with yourself and others

- Individual meetings with meditation instructors

- Group dialogue and community connection

Whether you’re brand new to meditation or a longtime practitioner, this retreat will help you deepen awareness and bring mindfulness into daily living.
