Kenna, a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), puts it best. “The best part of my day is the end of the day—when team members who aren’t on call choose to stay late and help us finish cases. That’s just who we are here.”

Since first coming to Hillcrest as a student for clinicals, Kenna has experienced incredible growth. “The culture here is very welcoming. I feel supported and given the opportunities I need to succeed.”

Today, she’s caring for patients and shaping the future of the profession. Kenna has precepted multiple students during their clinical rotations, is preparing to precept her first core employee in June and was recently recognized with “The Cathy” Award for completing the most STEMI cases in the lab in 2026.

Utica Park Clinic (UPC) welcomes Jacob Batterton, PA-C, to the team on the campus of Hillcrest South! Jacob specializes in orthopedic surgery with a special interest in sports medicine.

Jacob’s interest in medicine began in childhood and blossomed into a love of orthopedics when he did a clinical rotation with UPC. “I was interested in how much of a difference they made in their patients' lives,” he said.
