Both hospice and palliative care are designed to help manage symptoms and improve comfort for patients with serious illnesses.
The key difference is timing.

Palliative care can begin at any stage of illness and may be provided alongside curative treatments while Hospice care is reserved for patients who are in the last six months of life and are no longer seeking curative treatment. The focus shifts fully to comfort, dignity, peace, and quality of life.

Understanding the difference can help families make confident, informed decisions during difficult seasons.

❌ Stop ignoring your loved one’s need for compassionate, quality end-of-life care.

You can have peace of mind knowing your family is supported with dignity, faith, and comfort during this season of life. We know the struggle of feeling overwhelmed, unsure where to turn, or worried about the cost of hospice care. Many families delay support because they believe services are unaffordable or only available through large, for-profit organizations.

Which is why we offer -
✔️ Free hospice care for eligible patients - instead of limited care based only on insurance coverage
✔️ A focus on quality of life, dignity, and faith - instead of rushed, impersonal treatment
✔️ Peace and comfort for patients and caregivers - instead of families navigating everything alone
✔️ Independent, community-based hospice services - instead of corporate-driven care

We truly care about our patients and their caregivers. 🌿

💚Social Workers: Uplift. Defend. Transform.💚 March is national Social Work Month. Did you know it was first celebrated in March of 1963 to build public support for the profession? We could not function in hospice without them. Today at our monthly staff meeting we celebrated Seasons' amazing social workers Kaitlin, Marci, and Tito. We also have two other bonus social workers, our Executive Director Renee and Hospice Specialist Syrinda. Thank you so much for what you do!

Here's the thing. They would not want to live in our grief. They would not want to live in our tears. They would want to live in the magic of a sunrise or the peace of the ocean. They would want to live in the beauty we shared, not the loneliness left behind. For more information on our our free bereavement and grief services call 918-745-0222.

Grief looks different for everyone, and support can make a meaningful difference. Bereavement services are designed to help individuals and families process loss, find understanding, and feel less alone through each stage of grief.

Through bereavement support, you may have access to:
✅ Bereavement support groups - Led by trained and experienced facilitators, these groups provide a safe space to share, listen, and connect with others who are also navigating loss.
✅ One on one grief counseling and loss support - Personalized support from a chaplain or social worker, offered as needed to help individuals process emotions and find comfort.
✅ Educational bereavement resources - Helpful literature mailed directly to the home, offering guidance and reassurance throughout the grieving process.
✅ Annual memorial services - A meaningful opportunity to honor loved ones, remember their lives, and find connection within a supportive community.

Bereavement support groups may also be available to anyone in the community who has experienced the loss of a loved one, because grief support should never feel out of reach.

Hospice care supports the entire family, not just the person receiving care.

Caregivers receive education and guidance, respite to help prevent burnout, and emotional and spiritual support. Families also have access to grief counseling, ensuring they are cared for before, during, and after this journey.

Through every stage, families are supported with compassion and understanding, helping them feel less alone and more confident as they care for the ones they love. 🤍
