Distracted driving isn't just texting.

Oklahoma law requires drivers to have their full attention on the road at all times. And yes, that Burger King you're inhaling on the road counts.

This April, know what actually qualifies before it costs you a ticket. Or worse.

These are the items Magnus White had with him on the last day of his life. They are all that remains of an afternoon bike ride in Colorado that a reckless driver ended in seconds.

This happens every day in the U.S. to families just like the Whites. A single reckless decision behind the wheel and someone's child, parent, or sibling doesn't come home.

No one should have to bury their child because of a preventable choice. Slow down. Drive sober. Travel with care.

Back in January, near S. Denver in Downtown Tulsa, a driver ran a red light, triggered a two-car collision, and ended up flipped on their side. There were no injuries, but intersections like that one are shared with pedestrians and cyclists every day. So, stay aware of your surroundings near crosswalks even when you think it's safe.

Travel with care. 🚦

Magnus White was 17 years old, a U.S. National Cycling Champion on a training ride, when a reckless driver crossed the white line and killed him. The driver hadn't slept, had been drinking, and never even touched the brakes.

She was sentenced to 4 years, eligible for parole after 2. Yet after only 3 months in prison, his family learned she could be released even sooner.

That wasn't justice. And his parents, Jill and Michael White, refused to let it be the end of the story.

They turned their grief into The White Line Foundation, a national movement demanding safer roads, stronger laws, and real accountability for reckless driving, and are currently fighting in Congress to pass the Magnus White Act (HR7353).

Magnus' death was preventable. So is the next one.

Follow .foundation to stay updated on their growing efforts and add your voice to the fight.

Heading to River Parks Authority this weekend?

Did you know there are actually three different age rules for e-scooters in Tulsa, and they don't all match? Oklahoma state law sets the floor at 14, the city bumps it to 16, but the rental app won't let you ride unless you're 18. Now you know!

Remember: when you ride, wear a helmet, keep a light on after dark, and stay in the bike/scooter lane.

If you've taken a walk on the Riverside trails by Downtown, you've likely seen a playground in progress, and we couldn't be more excited for kiddos in Tulsa to have more spaces to play. πŸŽ‰

When the playground is up and running, watch for vehicles entering and exiting the park. And if you're walking from the apartments or homes across the street, always use the crosswalk!

INCOG is updating the Congestion Management Process Plan (CMPP) for the Tulsa region. The CMPP is a federally required approach for monitoring and addressing traffic congestion in Transportation Management Areas (TMAs), urbanized areas with populations over 200,000.

It is an ongoing and systematic process that uses performance-based metrics to identify and prioritize congested locations across the regional transportation network. The process analyzes the causes of congestion, develops multimodal transportation solutions, and evaluates their effectiveness in improving reliability, safety and overall system performance.

Your input is important to this effort. Please visit the project website at: http://incogcmp2026.com/ to learn more about the CMMP and provide feedback on congestion issues and priorities.

Your participation will help shape strategies that will improve reliability, safety and overall transportation system performance in the region.
