✨ Closing the chapter on this year with gratitude and truth. ✨

This year stretched me. It asked for courage where I once chose comfort, honesty when silence felt safer, and trust when the path ahead wasn’t clear 🪷

I learned that growth doesn’t always sparkle. Sometimes it looks like staying, beginning again, or choosing yourself even when it’s uncomfortable🤍

I showed up for my work, my people, and my purpose in ways I once only imagined. I honored grief without letting it define me. I took risks. I softened. I stood firm. I recognized when I was playing small🪬

As I step into the new year, I claim clarity, resilience, and a deeper connection to what matters most. I’m moving forward with intention, curiosity, and faith in the unfolding 🕊️

Here’s to becoming. Not perfect, not fearless but real 🤘🏼

Cheers to 2026 🥂

The medicine is a tool. What you do with it is up to you individually. Integration is key to preparing to sit with medicine and applying what you’ve learned in your day to day life. Educating and preparing facilitators and practitioners for this work is ethical responsibility.

"At its core, I think preparation is about trust. Not blind optimism that things will go well, but something deeper: a trust that you can be with whatever arises."

Last night I, along with 20 of my peers, had the opportunity to talk with Dr. Raison about the science and the future of this work ✨

I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings 🪬

"I have lived through three hype cycles in my life: meditation, inflammation, and psychedelics. Psychedelics are the greatest hype cycle I ever saw..."

Liberty and justice for all 🗽⚖️🌬️🪶🪬✨

There is significant tumult not only across U.S. politics and the regulatory apparatus, but also within the psychedelics field itself, which does not appear to have landed on a clear or coordinated ‘ask’. But beneath the noise, there appeared to be a quiet confidence among some that multiple FDA approvals of psychedelics are close at hand, with as many as three possible over the next 18 months.

Here, our Editor Josh Hardman shares the gist of what he learned in D.C., a couple of policy tweaks or clarifications that I have been mulling over, and other observations on how psychedelics are viewed in the nation’s capital.

I’ll be in Washington, DC soon and would love to connect with individuals and groups doing meaningful work in psychedelic research, policy, and Indigenous-informed healing.

Who should I add to my list to be engaging with while I’m there?

Open to recommendations for conversations that could shape the future of this work.

Grateful for any connections or guidance. 🌿✨

As November comes to a close, we step into a threshold that our ancestors understood well the quiet turning of the season, the slow descent of the sun, the invitation to listen more deeply to the land beneath our feet.

This is a time when the earth asks us to slow down, to pay attention, and to honor the wisdom carried in darkness.

The retrograde cycle that has stirred so much reflection is finally easing, and with it comes the sense of breath returning to the body.

Retrograde teaches us to pause, revisit, reconsider. Now, as it loosens its grip, we can move forward with clearer intention, steadier feet, and a heart that has learned something true.

December carries a different energy one of integration, grounding, and ancestral remembering. Many Indigenous traditions remind us that winter is not a season of emptiness but a season of listening. Listening to the land. Listening to spirit. Listening to the teachings that only arrive when the world gets quiet enough.

As we welcome December 🌬️

🌿 Return to the land place your hands on the earth, breathe with it, let it speak.
🔥 Honor your ancestors the ones who carried you here, the ones who walk with you still.
🌙 Trust the medicine of stillness insight grows in the spaces where we stop forcing and start receiving.
🌾 Move with intention retrograde has shown you what’s no longer aligned; release it gently.

This is a month for grounding, not rushing. For remembering, not performing. For walking softly, in good relation to the earth, to each other, and to your own becoming.🤍

May December bring clarity to your path, strength to your spirit, and guidance from the ones who hold you from realms unseen.✨

We step forward now out of retrograde, out of November, and into a month shaped by intention, healing, and deep wisdom. 🌎✨🌿

In our latest Chronicle, Marcelo Leite (.marcelon) examines why psychedelics cannot solve the ecological crisis. While Indigenous communities use them to communicate with nature’s spirits, Western culture often romanticizes and distorts these practices. Leite shows how today’s psychedelic revival, embraced by everyone from capitalists to extremists, reveals that these substances do not inherently cultivate ecological ethics. Instead, confronting the crisis demands systemic transformation, not chemical revelation or spiritual escape.
