The Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges, in partnership with the Oklahoma School for the Deaf, is excited to host the first Spring Carnival.

Families are invited to enjoy an afternoon of fun activities, games, ASL and English story time, and meaningful connection with others in the Deaf, hard of hearing and physically challenged communities.

Join us on Saturday, April 18 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Hardesty Family Adaptive Sports Complex for a welcoming, family-friendly event designed to bring the community together.

The Center Boccia team showed up and showed out in St. Louis.

Bryan Lohmeyer, Lee Jennings and Austin Ritter each brought home 2nd place finishes in their divisions, with Austin making a strong debut. Steven Marrs earned 3rd place, and Judy Hale finished 4th in her division.

The Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges is now accepting applications for the Ross Family Scholarship.

This program will award five $2,000 scholarships to support Deaf and hard of hearing students in pursuing post-secondary education and advancing their goals.

Eligible applicants must be Deaf or hard of hearing Oklahoma residents and submit a personal essay. Funds may be used for tuition or education-related expenses.

Applications are due by May 3, 2026.

Join us for a Deaf Self-Defense Class designed to build confidence, awareness and practical skills in a supportive environment.

Thursday, March 26
5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Bethany Church Gymnasium
100 N Olive Ave, Broken Arrow, OK

This free class is open to Deaf adults and community members. Learn from local law enforcement instructors through demonstrations and optional hands-on practice. Participate at your comfort level—observe or jump in.

Casual, comfortable clothing and athletic shoes are recommended.

RSVP is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.

Registration is now open for The Center Wheelchair Tennis Classic.

Tennis players are invited to sign up and compete on April 18 at the Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park for a day of competition, connection and community.

Registration is $50 and must be completed by April 12.
