Meet the newest addition to our Palo Santo Therapy team and she has immediate openings!
We are thrilled to welcome Alex Atkinson, LADC, MH-S to our Palo Santo team!
Alex is an addiction therapist and board approved supervisor, who comes to Palo Santo with more than 10 years of experience in the mental health and substance use field. She has worked in out-patient therapy and in the community mental health space assisting individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
Alex is trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including WET (Written Exposure Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), PMHC (Perinatal Mental Health Certification) and is currently pursuing certification in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy.
Alex provides compassionate care to those struggling with addiction and to those whose lives have been affected by the addiction of a partner, family member, or friend. She also enjoys working with postpartum mothers, as well as those navigating anxiety, depression and life transitions. She believes in providing a safe but candid space to become the best version of yourself while foster healing from within.
