Held at Charley Young Park, the 5K and fun run welcomed participants of all ages and abilities. Some ran for a personal best, while others participated to honor Kinsey Wright’s life and legacy.

The Kinsey Wright Foundation was created to help families navigate the difficult journey of losing a child by connecting them with professional grief counseling and support resources.

Hear from the family in the comments below.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support our community continues to show GPS Therapies. As more people seek help, we want to remind you not to assume our therapists are fully booked.

While some schedules fill quickly, we often have flexible options available, including telehealth, midday or lunchtime appointments, and thoughtfully spaced scheduling.

If you, a friend, or a family member could benefit from support, we encourage you to reach out and explore what might be available.

Our mission remains the same: to provide healing and growth through relational mental health therapy.

We spend a lot of time thinking about how life should be, and not enough time facing how it actually is.

In this episode, Chris and Alison explore the tension between “what is” and “what ought to be,” and how living in that gap can leave us feeling stuck, frustrated, and helpless. They also reflect on relationships, growth, and why knowing where you are matters more than where you think you should be.

Most of us don’t think about where to go for mental health help until we actually need it. This week, Chris and Alison sit down with Michael McClendon to talk about how to find the right kind of support. This includes the differences between psychiatry and psychology, how to navigate your options when you’re feeling stuck, and why sometimes it takes a “test drive” with a therapist to find the right fit. They also reflect on what it means to get unstuck, and why taking the first step toward help matters more than getting it perfect.

Next week, we explore the tension between what is and what we believe ought to be— and why living in that gap can be so exhausting.

We’re excited to welcome two new therapists to our Owasso office!

Arin Andrews, LPC-C will be working with teens and young adults, and Ryann Heller, LPC, RPT is a registered play therapist who works with preschool and elementary-aged kids and their families.
We’re so glad to have them on the team and grateful for the care they’ll bring to the families we serve.
