It is with mixed emotions that I announce the closure of my practice on 8/25/23. I have been honored to serve my community and the incredible families within it.

To each and every family who walked through the doors, thank you for entrusting me with your child’s well-being. Your resilience, support, and the smiles of your children have been my greatest rewards.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my referral sources, who trusted me with the care of the children they serve, and to my OT and SLP colleagues. Your collaboration and dedication to the well-being of our young patients have been inspiring.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives. I wish you and your children nothing but health, happiness, and endless achievements. 🌟

So sorry, everybody. In our excitement to get store information out to all of you, we made a typo on our previous Grand Opening Sale post. It’s corrected here. Apologies for the potential confusion!

We will be offering 20% off, store wide, this Friday, Nov. 12th from 4:30 - 6:30 pm and Saturday, Nov. 13th from 11:00am to 6:30pm. We hope to meet many of you this weekend!

Big news! I’m excited to announce I’m moving into my own office space in Tumwater as of 3/1! For now it’ll be just me, but I may be looking for another pediatric physical therapist in the not-so-distant future. The office is located at 4780 Capitol Blvd Suite 2; Tumwater 98501 (there is a State Farm office in the building and it was the previous location of a longtime pediatric OT practice).

This paragraph really stood out to me (probably not shocking since I am a PT):
Imagine the absurdity of demolishing a wheelchair ramp simply because the individual who needed it to access the building in the first place finally made it inside. Yet for children with non-physical disabilities, that absurdity is an everyday reality. Parents are continually forced to explain the myriad of reasons that the ramp needs to remain, let alone be there in the first place.

However, an unforeseen side effect of the IDEA’s deficit-oriented focus upon disability has created a dilemma for parents of autistic children and has fostered a problem-oriented societal approach to autistic people in general.Read More →
