Attention Rock Hounds
All of these pieces of Labradorite has flash, did you ever notice how labradorite only reveals its fire when the light hits it just right, and that's why it's hard to take a picture of an entire flat of labradorite. Labradorite contains microscopic, stacked layers that act like prisms. When light hits these layers at just the right angle, it is refracted and scattered, creating flashes of blue, green, or yellow. The flash often needs to be viewed with light hitting it directly and typically requires rotating the stone to find the best angle, often perpendicular to the internal crystal layers.
