Many over-the-counter medications, prescription drugs, and even herbal supplements are processed by the liver. Taking them incorrectly, or combining certain products, can increase liver strain. Always talk with your healthcare provider before starting new medications or supplements, especially if you have liver concerns.

Unfortunately, fatty liver disease often develops quietly with many people having no symptoms early on, especially those with common risk factors like diabetes, high cholesterol, or weight changes. Without early detection, the condition can progress over time.

Evaluation may include blood tests, imaging, or tools like FibroScan® to help assess liver health. Identifying fatty liver disease early allows for lifestyle changes, monitoring, and treatment that can help protect long-term liver health.

If you have risk factors or abnormal labs, call us at 662-680-5565 to schedule an appointment today! Early answers can lead to better outcomes.
