If you've tried antidepressants and still aren't feeling better, you're not out of options.

Spravato (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal spray treatment for treatment-resistant depression, and Arise Psychiatry is one of the few places in Mississippi offering it.

It works differently than traditional antidepressants, targeting a different pathway in the brain. For people who have tried multiple medications without relief, it can be a meaningful turning point.

We just published a full breakdown on the blog: what it is, how it works, and whether it might be right for you. Read it here: https://loom.ly/_OCpMSA

April is almost over, so now is a great time to check in with yourself. There’s no pressure to have answers. Just notice what comes up.

Reflection is about making space to pause, take account of what’s around you, and carry forward what you need.

The teen and young adult years can bring a lot of change - and a lot of pressure. From academics and social expectations to identity, independence, and emotional ups and downs, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed throughout this stage of life.

Support during these years can help build confidence, develop coping skills, and gain a better understanding of emotions and relationships. At Arise Psychiatry, we offer care that meets teens and young adults where they are with compassion, respect, and guidance that supports growth over time.

You don’t need a “good reason” to seek support. Struggling isn’t always tied to something obvious, and it doesn’t have to look a certain way to be valid.

Comparing your experience to others can make it harder to recognize what you’re carrying. Your feelings are real, even if they’re hard to explain or don’t make sense to anyone else.

You deserve care, understanding, and support without needing to prove why. Arise Psychiatry is here for you.

Spending time in nature can support your mental health in simple, meaningful ways.

Even a few minutes outside can help lower stress, improve mood, and create a sense of calm. It doesn’t have to be anything big - stepping outside, noticing your surroundings, or taking a short walk can make a difference. Nature can also be a powerful grounding tool, helping bring your focus back to the present moment.

This Earth Day, consider taking a few minutes to step outside and reset.

Medication is designed to support stability, not change who you are. In fact, many people report that medication actually helps them feel like themselves again.

Mental health medication isn’t one-size-fits-all, and it’s always approached thoughtfully and collaboratively. Arise Psychiatry is here to help you understand your options.

Counseling is not only for moments of crisis. It can support everyday mental health by helping you manage stress, navigate relationships, process change, set boundaries, and generally better understand your emotions.

Support does not have to wait until things feel unmanageable. Sometimes it begins with making space for yourself, your needs, and your well-being.
