To Our Parents and Families,
During the current concerns regarding Coronavirus, we would like to reassure you that we are taking precautions to keep our offices and play therapy rooms as hygienic as possible. We will be wiping down the playroom with disinfectant each day and often in between each session. Because of increased efforts to disinfect after each play therapy session, some sessions may be shorter than typical. We have removed play materials that encourage sharing bodily fluids, such as flutes and whistles, among others. We are also asking you and your child to use hand sanitizer as you enter and leave the clinic. Although we are taking precautions, we cannot guarantee that the playroom is completely virus-free. If you are uncomfortable with bringing your child to play therapy, please feel free to share your concerns and we will schedule accordingly. If you choose to participate in face to face sessions, new consent forms must be signed. We remain committed to you and your children and will work with you on the safest way to provide counseling and play therapy services.

Our office is taking the following precautions to protect our patients and help slow the spread of the Coronavirus.

• If any individual (you, me, or someone in either of our immediate families) has fever or other symptoms, they will not be permitted entrance to the clinic, the session will be cancelled and rescheduled.
• We ask that you take your temperature at home prior to traveling to the office; your temperature will be checked again prior to being allowed to enter the office.
• Office seating in the waiting room and in therapy/testing rooms has been arranged for appropriate physical distancing.
• My staff and I wear masks. Patients and clients are required to wear masks as well.
• My staff maintains safe distancing.
• Restroom soap dispensers are maintained and everyone is encouraged to wash their hands.
• Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available in the therapy/testing rooms, the waiting room and at the reception counter, you must use hand sanitizer when entering the clinic.
• We schedule appointments at specific intervals to minimize the number of people in the waiting room; persons not participating in scheduled appointments may be asked to wait in their cars due to limited seating.
• We ask all patients to wait in their cars or outside until no earlier than 5 minutes before their appointment times.
• Credit card pads, pens and other areas that are commonly touched are thoroughly sanitized after each use.
• Physical contact is not permitted.
• Tissues and trash bins are easily accessed. Trash is disposed of on a frequent basis.
• Common areas, offices, and play materials are thoroughly disinfected at the end of each day.

Due to the State of Emergency, and at the recommendation of other health officials, we’ve determined that beginning tomorrow we will be providing primarily TeleMental health services for our clients receiving counseling services. If you are an existing client, your counselor will be contacting you soon.
Dr. Stanley and Paige Pounds will be seeing their patients in office. If you have any concerns contact our main office and staff will address questions that you may have. We’re doing our best to accommodate established patients first. We will get new patients and clients in as quickly as possible.

We will get through this together!

Your children’s teachers insists they are as lovely as can be during the school day—but that’s not what you’re experiencing when 3 o’clock rolls around. They don’t have split personalities, they’re just experiencing something called “after-school restraint collapse.” And, according...
