This week, we’re proud to highlight Tracy Collins, our incredible Housekeeping Supervisor at Vaiden Community Living Center.
Tracy’s journey is one of dedication and growth. She began as a housekeeper and laundry technician, serving with heart and commitment for eight years. Her leadership and hard work earned her a well-deserved promotion three years ago.

Today, Tracy leads with compassion—overseeing staff scheduling, managing daily operations, handling inventory, and always stepping in to help wherever needed. Her favorite part of the job? Creating a clean, welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff. 💙

“It is so important to me that everyone feels at home,” Tracy shared. Cleanliness isn’t just her job—it’s her passion.

From CNA to LPN, Janay Adams has grown her career with CES through dedication, compassion, and a commitment to making a difference. After completing nursing school, she reconnected with the CES team and chose to continue her journey with us—a decision that’s led to meaningful impact and growth.

In her current role, Janay’s days are a blend of structure and unpredictability, keeping her work both challenging and rewarding. She plays a key role in planning and coordination and works closely with our Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to ensure wound ratios remain stable.

💙 What drives Janay? The opportunity to make a real difference every single day—whether it’s helping a patient recover, supporting families, or simply being present during vulnerable moments.

Looking for a quick, healthy, and delicious meal idea? This week’s featured recipe is Pasta & Broccoli — a simple dish packed with flavor and nutrients!

🛒 Ingredients:

12 oz uncooked pasta (try brown rice or quinoa pasta for gluten-free)
6½ cups fresh broccoli florets
5 cloves garlic (smashed & chopped)
¼ cup grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
Kosher salt & cracked pepper

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Tremanda Johnson, RN 🌟
We’re thrilled to recognize Tremanda Johnson at Hillview Community Living Center for her outstanding dedication and heart! 💙

Tremanda began her journey with CES in 1994 as a CNA, became an LPN in 2002, and earned her RN in 2012. After 18 years of service, she returned to the place she calls home — and we couldn’t be happier to have her back!

As RN Supervisor, Tremanda steps in wherever she’s needed, providing wound care, restorative services, and support across departments. Her compassion shines through in every hug, smile, and moment she shares with our residents. 💐

Her favorite part of the job?
✨ “Making a difference. A hug, a smile, a dance, or holding the hand of a dying patient. It’s all rewarding to me.”

Outside of work, she loves making memories with her grandbabies. 🧸

As we continue our Health Connect journey, let’s beat the heat with smart hydration!

Here’s your quick guide to staying well in steamy weather:

💦 How Much Water Do You Need?

Women: 92 oz/day
Men: 125 oz/day
Working in the heat: 8 oz every 15–20 minutes
🧠 Smart Hydration Tips:

Drink before you feel thirsty
Hydrate before, during & after activity
Use electrolytes (coconut water, low-sugar sports drinks)
Eat hydrating foods: watermelon, cucumbers, oranges, strawberries
Avoid alcohol & excess caffeine
Set reminders to drink regularly
⚠️ Watch for Signs of Dehydration:
Dry mouth, dark urine, dizziness, fatigue, muscle cramps, rapid heartbeat
