Mom was in labor at home, progressing nicely, so controlled that it wasn’t always easy for her midwife or doula to recognize when she was having a contraction. Feeling off in her pelvis, mom asked if Dr. Ian could come to her house and check her. When he arrived, she was lying in bed, so calm she appeared to be sleeping. Dr. Ian checked the movement in her pelvis and found it stuck, a subluxation, the sacrum and pelvis were not moving as well as they should which interferes with birth. He made a gentle adjustment and WHOA…mom let out a loud moan and the midwife and doula looked at each other “that was different” as mom felt more pressure in her pelvic floor. Dr. Ian finished with the adjustment, packed up and headed out, but before he left their community he received a text from the doula that baby Saint had arrived! So he turned back and got him checked, in bed next to mom.

Chiropractic is an integral part of the birth team and should be available for every parent and every baby, at every birth, everywhere.

The BABES Enhancement Act has been signed into law! The new law directs the TSA to adopt enforceable guidance — and conduct audits — for the safe, hygienic handling of breastmilk, formula, and baby food during air travel. This is an important step toward making airports more family-friendly and supporting infant feeding on the go. Read more here: http://bit.ly/3KcAxnj

💙💜💚 Studies conducted using infrared cameras have found that mothers raise their breast temperature as needed to warm their baby.
🍂 If a mother has twins and one is hypothermal and the other has a normal temperature, the mother's breast which is on the colder side of the baby will raise her temperature up to two degrees higher than the other with the baby at the right temperature.
🍂 Undoubtedly the best sanitary and the best incubator for the premature baby is the mother's body, and she is fantastically equipped to meet the needs of her immature baby.

A 32-year-old woman with an unremarkable medical history and three years of infertility was diagnosed with bilateral endometrioma and peritoneal endometriosis. The couple was offered Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).

First IVF Cycle: Eight oocytes were retrieved, but the embryo transfer resulted in a miscarriage at four weeks.

Second IVF Cycle (six months later): Eight oocytes were retrieved and fertilized, yielding three embryos. Two blastocysts were transferred. At six weeks, transvaginal ultrasound revealed two gestational sacs, each containing two embryos, confirming a quadruplet pregnancy.

The couple was counseled about maternal and fetal risks and offered fetal reduction, which they declined. First-trimester ultrasounds showed normal fetal anatomy. At 16 weeks, cervical cerclage was performed to prevent preterm delivery, and vaginal progesterone was prescribed at 24 weeks.

Due to limitations in complete fetal anatomical assessment via ultrasound, fetal MRI at 26 weeks was performed. The imaging data were used to construct three-dimensional virtual and physical models of the fetuses.

At 32 weeks, the mother developed uterine contractions and dyspnea, prompting cesarean delivery. Four male neonates were delivered with normal Apgar scores at one and five minutes. Two neonates were discharged at 34 days and the remaining two at 36 days post-delivery.
