La Familia Central Valley

La Familia Central Valley Non-profit organization committed to ensuring that all those in need of mental health services in Me We are here to ensure that changes. It takes courage.

La Familia Central Valley is a behavioral health home for those experiencing life’s challenges. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is committed to providing easy access to mental health services for those in Stanislaus and Merced Counties. We understand that there are many barriers that prevent people from accessing needed mental health services. In fact, 75% of those in need of mental health care fail to access it. We understand that it is hard to reach out for help. At La Familia, our team is committed to meeting all our clients where they are at, and to helping them take a step forward on the path to wellness.

Celebrating expansion! ✂️ 🎀

Our new Stockton Clinic will house La Familia’s San Joaquin County Full Service Partnership (FSP) program, which serves transitional age youth and adults over 18. This program is offered in partnership with San Joaquin County Behavioral Health Services.

The new clinic marks an exciting expansion of La Familia’s services in the Central Valley, allowing us to support even more community members—both through this program and future initiatives at the site.

We are thrilled to have shared the official ribbon cutting ceremony on October 7th alongside community partners, elected officials, as well as Latino pioneer Jose M. Hernandez. () 🤝

Meet Roger. 💙 A beloved member of the Turlock community, Roger often gives to others even while experiencing homelessness. After years of health struggles, he connected with La Familia's Enhanced Care Management (ECM) program.

With ECM support, Roger has connected to a primary care provider, partnered with a Social Security advocate, enrolled in BHRS Full-Service Partnership, and organized his medications and appointments. Thanks to his dedication, he’s avoided new infections and recently received life-changing news: approval for Social Security benefits — bringing him one step closer to a safe and stable home. 🏠✨

His words say it best:
“Meeting with Bobby is like going to church for me. I always look forward to it. Bobby has made the connections to make all this happen. I appreciate everything he and La Familia have done for me.”

💡 About ECM Services
ECM provides extra support at no cost to Medi-Cal members with complex health and social needs. La Familia’s team works one-on-one with each member and their support system to create a care plan that addresses the whole person and supports their journey to health and self-reliance.

La Familia is now accepting ECM referrals for Health Net, Health Plan of San Joaquin, Kaiser, and Central California Alliance for Health.

🚐✨ What an incredible day! Last Thursday, we proudly celebrated the launch of our groundbreaking Mobile Mental Health program with a special ribbon cutting event!

The spotlight was on the first of two cutting-edge, retrofitted vans—mobile mental health clinics designed to bring compassionate care directly to rural communities in Stanislaus and Merced Counties.

These clinics on wheels will offer mental health screenings, one-on-one therapy, support groups, and case management services—meeting people where they are and ensuring help is always within reach.

A heartfelt thank you to Assemblyman Juan Alanis and Senator Padilla's representative for their encouraging words, and to the representatives from Congressman Adam Schiff and Congressman Adam Grey’s offices for their support.

This launch isn’t just an event—it’s the beginning of a new chapter in accessible, compassionate care. 💙
