Hospice of West Alabama, Inc.

We have been providing care to terminally ill patients and their families in West Alabama since 1982.

*Hospice focuses on caring, not curing, and in most cases care is provided in the person’s home.
*Hospice care is also provided in freestanding hospice facilities – such as HOWA's Helen H. Hahn House – hospitals, nursing homes, and other long-term care facilities.
*Hospice services are available to patients of any age, religion, race, or illness.
*Hospice is paid for through the Medicare hospice benefit, Medicaid hospice benefit, and most private insurers. Even if a person does not have coverage, HOWA has funds available as a United Way agency and from community donations to provide services.
*No patient physically appropriate for hospice care will be turned away because of an inability to pay.

Beth has been an essential part of our team for almost 3 years, consistently going above and beyond to care for our patients and support their families.
