"Whereas as thousands of others have paid the regular price of $279 for certification (and hundreds of veterinary students have paid the price of $139), we have decided for a limited time to offer all 12,000 veterinary students in the United States the opportunity to sign up and take the certification for free. FREE! Why? Because we want you going home this summer and starting to witness the devastation that fear, anxiety and stress cause pets. Or enter your clinical rotations and see how Fear Free can help you keep pets happy & calm, practice better medicine and make more money."

You wanted to become a veterinarian because you loved animals and wanted to help them. A petition for herbal medicine to be officially recognized as a specialty in veterinary medicine has cleared the first hurdle: recognition by officials at the American Board of Veterinary Specialists. Now they wait for comments from veterinarians and from the public. If enough people let them know how important this kind of medicine is, then herbal medicine will become recognized as a valid part of veterinary medicine.

This is very important!

They want to know if this will "fulfill a distinct need in veterinary medicine and provide an essential service to the public." Let them know how much we need this. You have until September 1 to let them know how important this is to you. You can email Mr. David Banasiak at DBanasiak@avma.org or send him a letter at 1931 N. Meacham Rd, Suite 100, Schaumburg, IL, 60173.
pdf file of the letter to download and/or print
or download a petition, have people sign it, then send to Mr. Banasiak
