The coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) is an unprecedented crisis unlike any we have ever seen in our lifetimes. At OC Max Surgery, we want you to rest assured that we are here for you during these tough and challenging times.
Our practice has always adhered to and exceeded the disinfection standards set by OSHA, the CDA, and ADA. However, the latest guidelines from the CDC have encouraged even more stringent measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The health, safety and wellbeing of our patients, staff and community is our top priority, and as such, we will always do whatever it takes to protect those around us.
We have made the difficult decision to close our office for all non-emergency appointments until April 30, 2020. If an emergency happens to arise during this time, please call our office at (714) 838-4141 for further instruction. If you reach our answering machine, please leave a detailed message and a staff member will return your call as soon as possible. Dr. Farshidi is also available for teledentistry when appropriate.
This decision was not made lightly, but we do believe it is in the best interest of the greater community at this time. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. We are looking forward to resuming with all appointments on May 1, 2020. Please know, that when we do resume appointments, OC Max Surgery will continue to follow the highest level of sterilization standards set forth by the CDC and OSHA, as well as other official bodies, to help protect against the spread of COVID-19.
In April 2020, OC Max Surgery will continue to serve patients with dental emergencies. This is in effort to continue to support our patients and community, as well as to ease the burden of local hospitals who may be overwhelmed due to COVID-19. For our emergency patients planning a visit at this time, we want to share with you the special precautionary measures OC Max Surgery is taking to keep you safe:
- All patients will be screened with a COVID-19 questionnaire prior to their appointment, and Dr. Farshidi will review the questionnaire with the patient upon their arrival to our office
- Patient temperature will be taken upon arrival
- All staff will be equipped with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as set forth by the CDC and OSHA recommended to limit the chance of transmission
- We have removed magazines and other items that may harbor cross-contamination from our lobby
- We ask all patients to fill out intake forms prior to their appointment. An OC Max Surgery staff member will email all the necessary paperwork
- One patient will be scheduled every hour, providing our staff adequate time to sanitize and prepare for the next patient, as well as limit the interactions of patients during their visit
- Staff will be going above and beyond the OSHA and CDC recommendations for sterilizing each room and occupied area before and after each and every patient visit. We use hospital grade sanitizers and UV lights to accomplish this
- OC Max Surgery is unique in that each consultation room and surgical suite is fully enclosed, limiting the chance for transmission
- Friends, family, etc. will not be allowed in our lobby. We ask that all visitors who are not our patient wait outside or in the car
- OC Max Surgery staff are uniquely trained in operating room sterilization environment guidelines, and we will adhere to these stringent protocols for each patient visit
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this time.
