Integrated Resources Institute

Integrated Resources Institute Integrated Resources Institute (IRI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the full inclusion of persons with disabilities into their community.

IRI Mentorworks provides day program services to adults with disabilities to find employment in their community. Our philosophy is "Everyone Works". We truly embody this motto as over 50% of our clients work in their community. Our services are provided under the philosophy of person centered planning. Everyone gets individualized services and we work on developing our client's interest, skills a

nd preferences. We presume competence and focus on the "can do" instead of the "can't do". Through its MentorWorks program, IRI has facilitated over 20,000 community job placements for persons with disabilities in the US and Australia. Based on these successful Integrated Work outcomes, IRI has been awarded several local, state, federal and international grants. IRI also provides Supported Living, Educational Consultation and Professional Development services and consultation.

We are proud to share that Integrated Resources Institute has been awarded a $400,000 Service Access and Equity Grant from the California Department of Developmental Services.

This funding will support the expansion of inclusive, culturally responsive services for individuals at the intersection of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and LGBTQ+ identities.

Through our new initiative, โ€œQueer Visibility and Inclusive Strategies for People with IDD,โ€ IRI will:

โœจ Strengthen support systems

We are also honored to partner with WISE, whose mission strengthens equitable employment opportunities and community-based support for individuals with disabilities. To learn more about our partner, please go to https://www.gowise.org

Our March Employee Spotlight is Pablo Gomez!

We would like to recognize Pablo Gomez for the dedication and consistency he brings to his role as an Employment Coach. He currently supports two persons served through separate CIEโ€™s and one Independent Living Skills (ILS) services while they are not working, helping them build meaningful routines and succeed in their workplaces and communities.

One of Pabloโ€™s greatest strengths is the calm, steady presence he brings to his work. Even when emotional and outside barriers present challenges with the person served, he remains patient, positive, and solution-focused throughout the Person-Centered approach he carries.

His ability to stay composed while thinking creatively allows him to provide thoughtful support that helps the people he supports feel understood and encouraged throughout every aspect of their CIE.

In addition to the support he provides day-to-day, his excellent job building and ability to maintain strong relationships with work sites and circles of support is commendable; allowing the people he supports to succeed and feel valued.
-Support Manager Briana Sais

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, a time to recognize, celebrate, and uplift the voices, talents, and contributions of individuals with developmental disabilities in our communities.

At IRI, this month holds special meaning. Every day, our team is dedicated to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to live meaningful, self-directed lives through employment, community inclusion, and individualized support.

Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month reminds us that inclusion matters, not just in March, but every day. Itโ€™s about ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to pursue their goals, build relationships, and contribute their unique strengths to the community.

We are proud to stand alongside the individuals we support, their families, our staff, and our community partners as we continue working toward a future where everyone is valued, included, and given the opportunity to thrive.

Our Story

IRI Mentorworks provides services to adults with disabilities to find employment in their community. We believe "Everybody Works".

For years, people with disabilities have been disenfranchised and told what they canโ€™t do. Here at IRI, we focus on what people can do; celebrating them for their gifts, talents and differences. IRI doesnโ€™t only support individuals with disabilities to find employment, but we also support and educate the larger community, specifically employers, on the advantages of hiring a person with a disability. As a grassroots non-profit organization, IRI has facilitated over 20,000 community job placements for persons with disabilities in the US and Australia. Based on these successful Integrated Work outcomes, IRI has been awarded several local, state, federal and international grants.

IRI also provides Supported and Independent Living services, Educational and Transition Consultation.
