Integrated Resources Institute

Integrated Resources Institute Integrated Resources Institute (IRI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the full inclusion of persons with disabilities into their community.

IRI Mentorworks provides day program services to adults with disabilities to find employment in their community. Our philosophy is "Everyone Works". We truly embody this motto as over 50% of our clients work in their community. Our services are provided under the philosophy of person centered planning. Everyone gets individualized services and we work on developing our client's interest, skills and preferences. We presume competence and focus on the "can do" instead of the "can't do". Through its MentorWorks program, IRI has facilitated over 20,000 community job placements for persons with disabilities in the US and Australia. Based on these successful Integrated Work outcomes, IRI has been awarded several local, state, federal and international grants. IRI also provides Supported Living, Educational Consultation and Professional Development services and consultation.

Congratulations to Kristin ๐ŸŽ‰ who was recently hired to be an intern at the Department of Developmental Services (DDS)!

Kristin attended Moorpark College where she received her AA in Humanities and Arts. She continued her education studying Animation at San Jose State University before graduating from CSUN with a BA in Art and Design with an emphasis on Animation.

Kristin began an internship in 2012 with MoonScoop, where she worked as a storyboard revisionist for Lalaloopsy. After the internship and a job as a Production Assistant, she worked a few jobs outside of the art industry. These experiences helped solidify what she wanted to focus on in her art.

Kristin also found wrestling, which helped keep her art alive. As she was going through training in her indie wrestling career, she used her art to promote her character, Auntie Hydie. This led to her creating comics depicting her character.

Kristin briefly took a class in Editing at Visual Arts Academy. She edits videos which she posts on her social media to promote her wrestling matches. Kristinโ€™s goal is to be a self-published comic book artist and create her own series of animation shorts!

Join us in congratulating Kristin on starting this exciting new role!

IRI would like to show our appreciation to September's Employee Spotlight, Employment Coach Mary Tingley! ๐ŸŽ‰

Mary has been an Employment Coach in the Central Orange County region since 2022, and her journey has been truly inspiring. She embodies commitment as a valued member of the IRI organization, demonstrating flexibility in adapting to schedule changes and skillfully meeting the support needs for the people she supports, all while radiating positivity and optimism.

Her ability to forge meaningful relationships with the persons served is remarkable. Through her cheerfulness and encouragement, Mary creates an environment where persons served can grow and thrive in achieving their goals and aspirations.

Our Story

IRI Mentorworks provides services to adults with disabilities to find employment in their community. We believe "Everybody Works".

For years, people with disabilities have been disenfranchised and told what they canโ€™t do. Here at IRI, we focus on what people can do; celebrating them for their gifts, talents and differences. IRI doesnโ€™t only support individuals with disabilities to find employment, but we also support and educate the larger community, specifically employers, on the advantages of hiring a person with a disability. As a grassroots non-profit organization, IRI has facilitated over 20,000 community job placements for persons with disabilities in the US and Australia. Based on these successful Integrated Work outcomes, IRI has been awarded several local, state, federal and international grants.

IRI also provides Supported and Independent Living services, Educational and Transition Consultation.
