What a spooktacular day at Heritage! Our residents, families, and staff brought the fun with costumes, candy, and creative trunks that totally stole the show. The smiles, laughter, and all the festive energy made this year’s Trunk-or-Treat one to remember.

Our monthly step-by-step painting program is once again underway. Today, we explored our creativity by painting an autumn scene. The experience was highly enjoyable for all, and they were very proud of their artistic accomplishments.

Hello friends and family! This year, we're doing things a little differently for Halloween. The Halloween event will be held indoors in our front lounge, enabling our residents to participate more easily. We're seeking a few more agencies/businesses to set up a table and hand out candy with us, or if you'd prefer to donate candy, we'd be grateful. When Maddie Reed’s parents, Catherine and Stan, could no longer safely live at home, she and her siblings faced a difficult decision.

Her mother’s Alzheimer’s was progressing, and the risks of falls, missed meals, or accidents grew too great. Maddie recalls:

“You cannot, unless you’re a professional, give them the care that they need. I know they would neither probably even be alive without a place like this.”

By moving her parents into a senior living community with both assisted living and memory care, Maddie found peace of mind. Her father could still visit her mother daily, while her mother received the specialized care she needed.

This story reminds us that senior living communities aren’t just facilities - they’re lifelines. They provide safety, dignity, and compassion at the most vulnerable times in life.
