🎉👑 Monarch Preparatory Turns 3! 👑🎉

Three years ago, our very first student walked through the doors of Monarch Preparatory. What began as a dream has grown into a community filled with learning, laughter, growth, and incredible milestones.

We are deeply grateful to the families who have trusted us with the most precious people in their lives- their children. It is an honor we never take lightly. Every day we celebrate the achievements, big and small, of the amazing students we serve.

We are also incredibly thankful for the founding staff who helped us get Monarch off the ground and those who continue to pour their hearts into this mission every single day. Your dedication makes this dream possible.

To our own families who have supported us every step of the way, and to a community that welcomed Monarch from the very beginning, thank you for believing in us.

Every day at Monarch is a celebration of growth and a growing vision. We can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.

🎉👑 Celebrating 1 Year with Lauren at Monarch Preparatory! 👑🎉

Today we are so excited to celebrate Lauren, one of our incredible RBT Team Coordinators, on her 1-year anniversary with Monarch Preparatory!

Lauren brings so much heart to our team. She is consistently thoughtful, patient, and deeply compassionate — not only with the students she supports each day, but also with the colleagues she works alongside. Her ability to connect with others, offer encouragement, and lead with kindness makes a meaningful difference in our classrooms and therapy spaces.

As our RBT Team Coordinator, Lauren helps support and guide our behavior technicians while continuing to show up for our students with the same warmth and dedication that has defined her first year at Monarch. Her calm presence, teamwork, and commitment to our mission help make Monarch the special place that it is.

We are incredibly grateful to have Lauren as part of the Monarch family and look forward to many more years of making an impact together! 💛

👑 Celebrating Susan’s 1-Year Anniversary at Monarch Prep! 👑

This month, we are proud to celebrate one of our BCBAs, Susan's, first year with Monarch Prep and what an incredible year it has been!

Susan travels from the DFW area to Tyler every single week to serve our students and families, and her dedication to our community does not go unnoticed. Her expertise working with our young adolescents has been instrumental in helping students prepare for life after Monarch, focusing on independence, real-world skills, and meaningful integration into the community.

Because of Susan’s commitment, many of our students are gaining the confidence and tools they need to take important next steps toward adulthood. We are deeply thankful for the knowledge, compassion, and consistency she brings to Monarch each week.

What an incredible privilege for Monarch Prep to be part of the Pathways to Potential Autism Symposium thanks to our wonderful friends at Elijah's Retreat.

It’s truly an honor to be learning and collaborating alongside so many passionate professionals and advocates and especially to be in the same room as Temple Grandin, whose work continues to inspire the autism community around the world.

If you’re attending the symposium, be sure to check out the breakout session “Finding the Right Fit: Education Pathways for Children on the Autism Spectrum”, where Rachel Massey MEd Bcba will be serving on the panel discussion.

👑🎉 Celebrating Holly’s 3-Year Anniversary! 🎉👑

Today we are proud to celebrate Holly and her 3-year anniversary with Monarch Prep!

Holly holds an incredibly special place in our story as the very first employee ever hired at Monarch. From the very beginning, she helped bring our vision to life and played a key role in building the culture and values that continue to guide us today.

Starting as a founding RBT, Holly quickly became a mentor to those around her, something that naturally continued as she helped shape the role of RBT Team Coordinator. She is also the mastermind behind our scheduling and a trusted problem-solver, consistently supporting both our students and staff behind the scenes.

Holly has built strong, trusting relationships across our team, and her colleagues often look to her for guidance and encouragement. Her steady leadership and heart for others have made a lasting impact on our entire community.

We are incredibly grateful that Holly has called Monarch home for the past three years.

💙 Our community shows up for our kids and this is one of the biggest ways it happens each year.

Monarch Prep is incredibly honored to be one of only two beneficiaries of the 15th Annual Tyler Run for Autism.

Because of this event, many children in East Texas, including families right here at Monarch Prep, are able to access medically necessary autism services and inclusive opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach. The impact of this race lasts far beyond one morning… it changes lives.

❄️ Operations Update – Open with Normal Hours Tomorrow ❄️

After continued monitoring of road conditions across the Tyler area, we are seeing steady improvement, and Monarch Prep plans to be open tomorrow with normal hours and operations.

We look forward to welcoming students back and returning to routine and structure that supports our learners and families. Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and care for one another as we navigate this together 🤍

❄️ Delayed Opening Update – Wednesday ❄️

After monitoring road conditions across the Tyler area today, we’re seeing improvement on many main roads, with continued thawing expected as temperatures rise. To allow for extra daylight and safer travel, Monarch Prep will have a delayed opening tomorrow:

🕙 Student arrival: 10:00 AM
🕘 Staff arrival: 9:45 AM

We know road conditions can vary greatly depending on location, especially for families traveling from rural or shaded areas. If you need an additional day for roads to thaw or for travel to feel safe, we completely understand and support that decision. Safety always comes first, and we trust families to make the best choice for their situation.

For those who are able to safely attend, we look forward to welcoming students back and offering a return to routine and support. Thank you for your continued grace, flexibility, and care for one another — we are so grateful for our Monarch community 🤍

Out of an abundance of caution, Monarch Prep will remain closed Tuesday, January 27th. ❄️🤍

While we know how important routine is for our students, safety must always come first. Many of our families travel long distances each day, and with fluctuating road conditions and local school closures impacting both families and staff, we felt this was the most thoughtful decision for our community.

Thank you for your continued grace, flexibility, and trust. We look forward to getting back to routine as soon as it’s safe to do so. ✨

In the meantime, enjoy the extra time with your loved ones and continue dropping in the comments what you are up to! Whether it's staying warm and cozy indoors or outside pretending to be an ice-skating champion, we miss you and want to see those smiling faces!

❄️ Weather Closure Update ❄️

Out of an abundance of caution and due to the potential for hazardous road conditions, Monarch Prep will be closed on Monday, January 26th.

We will continue to closely monitor weather and road conditions and will share an update regarding Tuesday’s operations by 6:00 AM the day of.

As always, we encourage our families and staff to prioritize safety and make decisions that are best for their individual situations, as conditions may vary across the area.
