Ever heard of the Side-Lying Release? 🤰🏽

This gentle technique is often used by doulas during pregnancy and labor to help create more balance in the pelvis and encourage baby to move into a better position for birth.

When the ligaments supporting the uterus relax, it can:
✨ reduce pelvic tension
✨ create more space for baby
✨ encourage baby to rotate
✨ help relieve back labor
✨ support smoother labor progress

It’s simple but powerful.

The Side-Lying Release is usually done with the support of a doula, partner, or provider and only takes a few minutes on each side.

Small positional changes can make a big difference in comfort and labor progress.

💛 Save this for later so you remember it when labor starts.

If you’re preparing for birth and want hands-on support, education, and guidance throughout pregnancy and labor, I’d love to support you.

Okay but let’s talk about the real MVP of postpartum life… your breastfeeding/newborn cart 🙌🏼✨

I swear this little setup saves your sanity those first few weeks. When you’re nap trapped, cluster feeding, healing, and running on love + zero sleep… the LAST thing you want is to keep getting up for everything.

Here’s what I always recommend having stocked:
🤍 Water bottle (or two because hydration is EVERYTHING for milk supply)
🤍 Easy snacks (protein bars, trail mix, fruit snacks—anything you can eat one-handed)
🤍 Burp cloths + extra ones because… babies 😂
🤍 Ni**le balm + breast pads
🤍 Haakaa or pump parts
🤍 Diapers + wipes for quick changes
🤍 Extra onesie (because blowouts don’t give warnings 🫠)

It’s not about being “extra”—it’s about setting yourself up to rest, recover, and just BE with your baby 🤍

Mamas, this is your permission to make things easier on yourself. You deserve support, comfort, and snacks within arm’s reach always 🫶🏼

Save this for later or send to a mama who’s about to have a baby 🤍

Going through the boys’ clothes today.
Folding tiny jeans. Holding little tees.

And it hit me.

That was our last baby boy.

No more first overalls.
No more “I’ll save this for the next one.”
No more hand-me-down piles waiting for another brother.

Just memories.

It’s wild how seasons change without asking you if you’re ready.

I swear yesterday it felt like summer — loud, sticky fingers, baby giggles everywhere.

And now it feels like fall.
A shift.
A letting go.

(Also pregnancy brain had me saying it backwards earlier 😂 but y’all know what I mean.)

Motherhood is beautiful and brutal like that.
You’re grieving while still being grateful.
You’re closing chapters while holding the next one in your arms.

And I wouldn’t trade these boys for anything.

But whew… letting go of “lasts” hits deep.

Mama heart forever.

Postpartum healing isn’t a straight line.

Some days you feel strong.
Other days you feel like you’re still putting yourself back together.

And honestly? That’s normal.

Your body doesn’t heal all at once.
Your hormones don’t just “snap back.”
Your nervous system needs time to feel safe again.
And the woman you were before… she changes.

If you’re months or even years postpartum and still feel like you’re finding yourself, you’re not broken. You’re not behind.

You’re becoming.

This is why postpartum care matters.
This is why rest is necessary, not lazy.
This is why moms need support long after everyone stops asking how they’re doing.

From a doula who sees you and believes you 🤍

Sweet postpartum nights! Momma got some good rest, sweet baby and I got to know each other, and as a plus getting some cuddles in! 🥰.

Today was a reminder of how powerful community is in birth work.
Leah Condel with Passion Doula LLC and I had a great conversation as postpartum doulas, swharing insight, experiences, and encouragement. Supporting one another, learning from one another, and building relationships only strengthens the care we provide to mothers. Grateful for connection and shared purpose 🤍

Pregnancy doesn’t end at birth.
And postpartum doesn’t mean you’re supposed to “have it together.”

Both seasons are tender.
Both deserve support.

As a doula, I walk with families before birth AND after, offering education, reassurance, and calm support when everything feels new or heavy.

You are not failing.
You are becoming. 🤍

If you’re pregnant or newly postpartum and want someone in your corner, I’d love to support you.

During pregnancy and postpartum, your body is working overtime — building a baby, healing tissue, balancing hormones, and supporting milk production. Cravings can be a gentle nudge toward a vitamin, mineral, or nutrient you may be low in.

• Chocolate → often linked to magnesium
• Ice or dirt (pica) → iron deficiency
• Salty foods → sodium, adrenal support, or dehydration
• Red meat → iron, zinc, or B12
• Dairy → calcium or vitamin D
• Citrus or fruit → vitamin C

This doesn’t mean every craving must be “fixed,” but it does mean listening to your body with curiosity instead of guilt.

Nourishment isn’t about perfection — it’s about support.
Your body is wise. Let’s honor it.

✨ Always talk with your provider or doula if cravings feel intense, unusual, or sudden.
