Do you have chronic pain in your neck, shoulder, or arm due to pinched nerves in the cervical or lumbar spine? You may be a candidate for epidural steroid injections. Common causes of this type of pain include a herniated disc, spinal stenosis, and radiculopathy. The treatment involves an injection of an anti-inflammatory medication administered into the epidural space surrounding the spinal nerves. This works to decrease pressure and swelling, which may be exacerbating pain. Epidural steroid injections have been shown to successfully reduce inflammation and associated pain. To determine if this treatment option is appropriate, please contact Precision Spine Care to schedule a consultation and find out if epidural steroid injections can help.
