Together, they explored the most pressing health issues facing East Texas and emphasized how collaboration—not competition—is what truly moves the needle.

💙 Meet Beverly — A Story of Strength and Second Chances

When Beverly Faulks first heard about Bethesda through Christian Women's Job Corps-Tyler, she had just walked through one of the hardest chapters of her life. After suffering a stroke, she began putting her own health first — starting with her smile.

“I have a child with autism. He’s 25 now, thank God, but I’ve learned I have to take care of myself, too,” she shared.

Beverly came to Bethesda for dental care and immediately felt at home. “It’s a friendly atmosphere. They give you the price upfront, let you know what to expect, and the dentist is awesome! Everyone is so professional and kind — even early in the morning when I’m not a morning person!”

She’s currently working with our dental team on partial dentures and loves being part of the process. “They even brought out samples for me to see — that’s awesome!”

As a volunteer at Christian Women’s Job Corps, Beverly is paying forward the kindness she’s received. “I’m taking it little by little,” she says, smiling. “Bethesda makes it possible for people like me to get the care we need. If it weren’t for them, I’d be lost.”

From diagnosing and treating to listening and comforting, NPs are the heartbeat of healthcare. You make a lasting impact in the lives of our adult patients and also with the little ones we serve at Pediatrics—and we are so grateful for all you do.

💙 Meet Guillermo — a longtime Tyler resident and proud Bethesda patient. 💙

When Guillermo first came to Bethesda Health Clinic, he says he “had no backup — nowhere to go for medical attention.” After meeting Dr. English years ago while waiting tables at El Charro, Guillermo saw Bethesda grow into what it is today — a place where hardworking East Texans can find hope, health, and care that feels like family.

“Seeking care is part of being human,” Guillermo says. “I feel very happy now because I know that I have the support to back me up. All the Bethesda staff have a big heart — that’s why they all choose to work here.”

He’s been a Tyler resident for more than 30 years, works at El Norteño, and lights up when talking about his wife and daughters: “They are who I adore the most on this earth.”

To our donors and supporters, Guillermo has one simple message:

💙 Thank you, Jasper Ventures Inc.💙

We’re so grateful for the incredible generosity of the Jasper Ventures employees! Because of their support, we were able to purchase a brand-new EKG machine — a true life-changer for our patients and volunteer cardiologists.

Just a few weeks ago, a patient came to our Saturday cardiology clinic in distress. Thanks to this new equipment, she was able to receive an EKG right here at Bethesda instead of going to the ER — something she could never have afforded.

The Jasper team’s heart for giving back continues to make a powerful impact in East Texas. You are a huge blessing to Bethesda and to every patient we serve. 💙

Today we celebrate Ann, our Volunteer Coordinator. Ann plays a vital role in cultivating our strong volunteer program (more than 300 active volunteers strong!) as she recruits individuals who align with the organization's mission, fosters a sense of belonging, and honors their contributions through meaningful recognition.

She ensures our Hangers of Hope and Bethesda Clinic volunteers feel valued and empowered, creating a sustainable and impactful volunteer culture that enables us to continue to serve our patients each day.
