🧠 Signs of a Panic Attack: Know What to Look For

Panic attacks can come on suddenly and feel overwhelming. Recognizing the signs is the first step toward managing them.

🔹 Physical Symptoms
• Racing heart or chest pain
• Shortness of breath or choking sensation
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Sweating or chills
• Trembling or shaking

🔹 Emotional Symptoms
• Intense fear or a sense of doom
• Feeling detached from reality (derealization)
• Fear of losing control or “going crazy”
• Numbness or tingling sensations

🔹 Duration: Usually peaks within 10 minutes, but the after-effects can last much longer.

🧘‍♀️ If this happens to you or someone else:
✔️ Breathe slowly and deeply
✔️ Ground yourself using your senses
✔️ Remind yourself it will pass
✔️ Seek support if needed
