Greenwich Fire Department is upgrading their operations with 10 new Bullard Emergency Responder XT Pro Thermal Imaging Cameras, replacing their current inventory and enhancing fireground capabilities. 🔥

Thermal imaging cameras are critical tools on scene—used to locate victims and fellow firefighters, identify fire origin and hot spots, navigate low-visibility environments, and check for residual heat after extinguishment.

This technology plays a role in life-or-death moments. For more than 40 years, Fire Tech & Safety has been proud to support the fire service across New England with reliable equipment and trusted service.

Today, Chief Fainer and Deputy Chief DeLucia met with Nicoletta Blevins, Government and Community Affairs Manager for the Regional Water Authority, to accept a $1,000 donation in support of the department’s new rescue boat.

This contribution—made in conjunction with the Valley Community Foundation and the City of Ansonia—helps strengthen our water-rescue capabilities and supports the safety of our community.

In recent years it has been found that PFAS, or forever chemicals, are used in firefighting gear.

Thanks to the support of annual town meeting we were able to outfit half of our department in PFAS free gear with the goal of outfitting the remaining firefighters in coming years.

Each set of gear is custom tailored for optimal performance and protection while firefighters operate in dangerous environments.
