The final Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Player of the Game Award for Tyrone has been selected by WTRN Radio. The final selection for the 2025 football season was Jon Stroup, a sophomore wide receiver and outside linebacker.
Stroup was involved in some pass catches and on defense in on several tackles for the Golden Eagles. He also returned a kickoff and a punt for the Golden Eagles gaining valuable experience for the next football season.
Congratulations to Jon Stroup for being selected as the final Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Player of the Game.

Owen Oakes, a senior offensive guard, tackle and linebacker, was selected by WTRN Radio as the Richard H Searer Funeral Home Player of the Game for Tyrone versus Bellwood-Antis.

Owen’s, number 50, had his number and name called numerous times on both offense and on defense throughout the Bellwood-Antis game for the Golden Eagles.

Owen had suffered an early season ending injury last year for Tyrone as a junior and a key member of both the offensive, defensive lines and a linebacker. Oakes work extremely hard in rehabbing from his injury and won the starting positions named above for Tyrone this season. Oakes has been a key contributor in all five games this year for the Golden Eagles.

Congratulations to Owen Oakes for being named the Richard A. Searer Funeral Home Player of the Game.
