📛CCLN URGENT ACTION ALERT📛:
Contact your legislator TODAY:
Find Your California Representative here: https://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov/
Your message is simple:
(I/We) strongly urge you to Protect the Progress and full implementation of service provider rate reform! Californian’s with I/DD and their families deserve better. The DSP workforce deserves a competitive, living wage for the vital work that they preform every day!

The current shortage in the Direct Support Professionals workforce has reached a critical breaking point. People are facing long delays in receiving services or going without services altogether. Providers are struggling to engage job seekers to enter the field of Direct Support Professionals for California’s Intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.😞 This will only get worse as other industries 👏 👏 statutorily required minimum wages are set to increase in 2024. Protect The Progress!

means not making us wait … any longer!🙏

Many of you may know that there was a rate study several years ago. This rate study found that the services we provide are grossly underfunded and an increase in our rates was recommended.

The states own rate study in 2019 showed that California was underfunding the I/DD system by $1.8B! Now, 5 years later the California Governor has proposed delaying implementation of the rate study by 1 year.

Please reach out to your legislators and let them know this is not ok.
