CALLING ALL BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHERS!

We are excited to announce that we are now accepting submissions for the Midwifery Wisdom Photography Showcase! 🙌🏼 This contest is intended to highlight the work of the many talented birth photogs out there and also has a very special subject: MIDWIVES! 🎉

We all love to celebrate the strength, beauty, and triumph of a mother giving birth, a partner providing support, and a baby meeting their family for the first time. 💕 But we wanted to shift the focus to an often unseen but still very important member of the birth team: the midwife. 🫶🏼

There are ten categories to choose from, so dig through your archives and comb your galleries for those sacred moments and hidden gems that commemorate the grace and grit of midwives. We can’t wait to see your submissions!

For rules, submission specs, prize information (yes, there are prizes!), and to sign up, visit the or https://midwiferywisdom.com/photography-showcase/ 🛜

Please share and support lactation accommodation for nursing parents

It's almost time for the Annual Workplace Award for Lactation Accommodation!
Babies that nurse and who drink pumped human milk tend to be the healthiest. Human milk supports babies’ brain development, immune function, and more. Healthy People 2030 and other public health goals include increasing the number of babies who exclusively breastfeed for the first 6 months and who continue to for the first year.
While we understand it takes time and effort, and sometimes obstacles are too great, we’re working to build support to make it easier for parents to nurse their babies. Part of this work is sharing information to help more businesses in our community support lactation.
To recommend your workplace, you can complete this survey- https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/S5TPQGN
You can win $50 if you recommend your workplace and it is selected as #1 in Lactation Accommodation in Mendocino County
In August we’ll announce the winner!
Need help adjusting your workplace or business? Get in touch. We’re here to help!
Who should fill out this survey?

Nursing parents who are currently getting accommodations to pump, breastfeed, or chestfeed at work.
Why?
So employers who are doing a great job following the law and supporting their employees can be acknowledged and to encourage other employers to do the same!
(If more than 1 employee nominates the same winning employer, the first nomination received will win the prize. In order to acknowledge diverse workplaces, employers are only eligible to win once every 5 years.)
