Yesterday we held our largest training day in Mendocino County so far! 12 students joined us where they learned hands on skills that they will be able to use during their rotations!

We’re excited to have 6 new junior health scholars and 6 new health scholars join us!

June 13th-19th is CNA Week and we thought it would be a great time to share some information on what they do!

CNAs work alongside nurses and doctors to provide excellent patient care.

• assist patients with activities of daily living (often known as ADLs)
• serve meals and assist patients with eating
• lift and move patients
• take vital signs
• bathe and dress patients

Thank you to those who attended our EMS skills clinic/open hours! We had fun learning all about being an EMT/firefighter and an emergency room RN! We even got a demonstration on how to use a tourniquet and take a manual blood pressure. Thank you to our presenters Damian and James!
