The California Youth Leadership Forum for Students with Disabilities (YLF) is taking applications for the 2026 cohort and the deadline to apply is January 31, 2026.

The 2026 YLF will be held July 13 through July 18, 2026. YLF provides an opportunity for youth to learn about:
• Advocacy and leadership skills in a peer setting
• Meet with professionals with disabilities
• Meet state policymakers
• Develop goals through their personal and career leadership plan for their education, independent living and career goals
• Make lifelong friendships and create a community of support they can rely on for years to come

YLF is hosting an upcoming Parent & Family Information Session. This virtual session is designed to help families learn more about the YLF program, application process, delegate experience, and the supports available throughout the week-long leadership forum. It’s a great way for parents and guardians to ask questions and better understand what their student can expect.
