Early detection can make all the difference in the fight against colorectal cancer. Screening saves lives and when detected early, treatment is often more effective with better outcomes.

Colorectal cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the U.S., but it’s also one of the most preventable. Knowing the symptoms and staying on top of routine screenings, like colonoscopies, is important.

The ‘Suits to Scrubs’ initiative brings hospital leadership directly to the front lines of patient care. We're proud to highlight Haley Evans, our Director of Quality and Patient Safety Officer, who recently traded her regular attire for scrubs to round in the Laboratory.

The experience highlights the interconnectedness of our hospital, showing how the lab's precision and dedication directly support every other department in providing safe and effective care.

Building behavioral health skills in our Kansas communities is a top priority outlined in our Community Health Strategic Plan. Our team participated in QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Su***de Prevention Training. This training strengthens our ability to recognize su***de warning signs and refer individuals to the necessary resources for help.

While the subject of su***de prevention is both serious and challenging, we also dedicated time to focus on self-care and wellness, understanding that to effectively care for others, we must first care for ourselves. Through these efforts, we are fostering stronger, more resilient communities throughout Kansas.
