Don’t worry about feeling claustrophobic in our float tanks. We specifically chose large open air tanks so there would be plenty of room around you or 2 people to float together and no lid so you don’t feel boxed in.

If you prefer a more traditional float pod we can certainly recommend some great places with pods.

During a float session your body can finally relax. One of the reasons this occurs is during your float you have reduced sensory input (aka no music, phones beeping, conversations, traffic, etc) which allows your nervous system to go in to rest and repair mode lowering your cortisol, slowing down your heart rate, and lowering your tension. How does floating help with pain relief?

Since there is a high concentration of epsom salt in the water it makes you buoyant which is as close to zero gravity as we can experience without being in space. This zero gravity time takes all the pressure off our joints and muscles allowing us to actually relax our body. The Epsom salt itself helps ease inflammation and tension. And lastly since you are able to actually relax your body and mind your nervous system can calm down and not be constantly sending stress signals exacerbating your pain.

If you are struggling to manage your pain a float may be the perfect thing to add to your pain management routine.

Our rooms our completely private (unless of course you are doing a tandem float) so it is up to you how you choose to float. We suggest floating in the n**e so that our bathing suits don’t accidentally create outside distractions by moving around or touching us during our float. If you are wearing a bathing suit please wear it during your pre float shower and make sure to rinse it really well and bring a bag to bring your wet suit home in.

Did you know kiddos can float too?! As long as they have control of the bladder/bowels and are 5 years of age or older then can float!

Ages 5-11 must float with a parent or guardian in the same tank with them, ages 12-15 can float alone with a parent or guardian on the premises, and 16-17 year olds can float solo with written or verbal parental permission.
