It’s been a full and meaningful month at Penfield! Our guys helped assemble the Christmas tree at Lake Oconee Church, we connected with leaders at the District Attorneys Conference in Young Harris, and a wonderful team from Lakeside Church volunteered their time to help us paint around the facility. Grateful for a community that shows up and supports recovery in action.

Celebrating November’s wins at Penfield.

Eight new clients took their first brave step toward recovery last month, and we couldn’t be more grateful to walk with them.

Every number represents a person.

Every person represents a story of hope beginning to turn.

If you or someone you love needs support, we’re here.

✨ Inspiration for the Journey: Advent Hope in the Midst of Recovery ✨

Advent invites us to slow down, breathe, and remember that hope is on the way. For centuries, Christians have used this season to watch, wait, and trust that God’s light will break through the darkness.

In many ways, that’s the journey of recovery.

Recovery doesn’t happen all at once. It begins quietly, with small steps and deep reliance on God’s strength. Advent reminds us that God works in the waiting - shaping us through patience, perseverance, and hope. Just as the world waited for the promised Savior, every person in recovery waits for the promise of new life, one day and one decision at a time.

“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” — Isaiah 40:31

As we walk through this season, may Advent renew our hearts with these truths:
• Hope grows in quiet places
• God meets us in the waiting
• Light always overcomes darkness
• New beginnings often arrive gently, like a child in a manger

Whether you’re in recovery, supporting someone who is, or simply needing renewed hope - you are not alone. God is near, God is faithful, and God is still writing your story.

The light is coming. 🌟

Today, we’re honored to share a special message from our Spiritual Director words of encouragement, gratitude, and faith that reflect the heart of Penfield.

As he shares in this video, your support truly matters. Every prayer, every gift, every act of kindness helps create a place where men and women can encounter God’s healing, grace, and freedom. Because of you, lives are being restored, families are being reunited, and hope is being renewed every day.

This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join us once again in the mission.
Your generosity fuels the spiritual care, counseling, and Christ-centered guidance that is at the core of transformation at Penfield.

From our Spiritual Director and from all of us
Thank you for believing in this ministry. Thank you for giving. And thank you for helping change lives for the Kingdom.

🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from Penfield Addiction Ministries! 🍂

This season, we pause with hearts full of gratitude - thankful for healing, thankful for salvation, and thankful for the amazing men and women who make our ministry possible each and every day.

We are reminded of 1 Thessalonians 5:18:
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Through every story of recovery and renewal, we see God’s hand at work: transforming lives, restoring hope, and reminding us that gratitude and grace walk hand in hand.

From all of us at Penfield, may your Thanksgiving be filled with peace, joy, and the love of Christ.

✨ Charley Atkinson has earned her CAC-I (Certified Addiction Counselor I) certification! Her commitment to guiding others on their recovery journey reflects the true heart of Penfield’s mission: nurturing recovery, restoring lives.

We’re so proud of Brittney and Charley and grateful for the light they bring to our community. Congratulations! 👏

“I was met with such love and acceptance when I got here.”

Those words capture the heart of Penfield.

When she arrived, she was broken, hurting, and unsure if hope still existed. But God met her here through the compassion of our staff, the support of the community, and the unconditional love that defines this ministry.

At Penfield, no one walks alone. Every woman and man who comes through our doors is welcomed with the same grace Christ freely gives. Lives are healed. Chains are broken. Hope is restored.

Today, her testimony reminds us why this work matters and why your support changes lives.

💙 Help us continue welcoming people with the same love and acceptance she found.
