Belly blessing - (also known as a Mother Blessing or a Blessingway) a gathering of womyn to honor the birthing person’s transition into this new phase of their life.
A belly blessing is an opportunity to shower the mama with emotional, physical and spiritual support.
There are a variety of activities that all focus on the mama .. the point is to not only make her feel amazing, but also to share the vibrations with the womyn in the circle.
It is truly a beautiful opportunity to share laughs, tears of joy or fears - sometimes both.. to release that that no longer serves you.

If you haven’t already participated in a belly blessing (or had one yourself) do yourself a favor & try it out!!! If you choose a doula or someone who has facilitated one before, even better!!

Here is our Senior Doula admiring the beautiful baby B, minutes after arriving earthside. His mama worked soooo so hard to get him here, as safely as possible. In this moment, mama couldn’t stop admiring her little angel, but also, she couldn’t stop thanking her doula for how supported she made her feel.
