Black History Month is a time to celebrate resilience and achievement. It’s also a time to confront challenges still affecting Black communities, including gambling harm. While fewer Black Americans gamble, those who do are more likely to experience serious problems. Gambling harm is not a personal failure; it’s a public health issue. It affects families, social circles, and entire communities. This Black History Month, let’s commit to talking openly about promoting financial education, and supporting healthier alternatives that help our communities thrive.
Awareness and prevention are critical.
