Our everyday play warriors benefit just as much from chiropractic care as we do. As their bodies and bones are growing and developing, it’s good to promote healthy living habits. I’ve noticed children are more innately perceptive to their bodies and respond to chiropractic treatment quicker.

Just a few issues I was co-managing little patients with their pediatricians were colic, GERD, and sleep maintenance in ages 3 months to 10 years old.

We mainly focus on the neck and low back and often forget about the thoracic spine. Mobility in the upper and middle back is just as important to maintain good posture.

I find that issues in this area can contribute to neck pain and decreased neck range of motion.

Low level laser therapy- or low level light therapy is a light that triggers biochemical changes within cells that can be compared to the process of photosynthesis in plants.

3 different types of pain include nociceptive, neuropathic, and central. Clinically, light therapy can treat nociceptive and neuropathic pain. Central has not yet proven to be responsive to LLLT.

Educating a patient and giving them all possible resources in their care so they can make the choices that best fit their interest. What they do with the information is part of the journey.

I had a patient (also in healthcare) tell me they are shocked at the amount of information their doctors do not disclose to their patients. I only hope it’s for good reasons, but it’s the transparency for me.
