Let us introduce our Artesia Team!
Meet Mariah Spindle. Mariah sees clients in person in Artesia, New Mexico, and via telehealth.
Mariah earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Norwich University in Vermont in 2014. After graduating, she worked within the courts and corrections system in Northern Virginia, where she gained valuable experience supporting individuals with diverse backgrounds and needs. This work ultimately led her to join the local Community Services Board, where she provided intensive case management services for individuals experiencing serious mental illness.
Through this hands-on experience in the mental health field, Mariah developed a passion for clinical work and went on to earn her Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2022, with a clinical concentration.
Mariah has experience working with both adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment challenges, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. Her experience comes from multiple internships focused on direct clinical practice.
Mariah enjoys working with individuals of all ages and with a wide range of concerns. She approaches therapy from a person-centered, strengths-based, and holistic perspective, with a genuine desire to support and empower individuals throughout their treatment journey.
