April is National Garden Month! With Earth Day on Wed, Arbor Day on Fri, and May Day next week, we wanted to acknowledge this beautiful time of year in the NC Triad.

Plus we wanted to bring out the importance of hydration. Drink up with a refreshing drink at DeBeen, where all our cups are Earth friendly! Recycle and reuse your cups at DeBeen.

DeBeen WS is vegan, and DeBeen HP has a mix of conventional and vegan. Eat and drink from food and milk that comes from the ground.

And use our or your own coffee grounds in your garden! Coffee grounds act as fertilizer and pest repellant, and can be composted.

Enjoy your potted plants, garden, our local parks, and gardens enjoyed when out of town this spring and year-round. There's always something to appreciate and tend to.

Happy smoothie Sun! Thank you, Peyton and Isabella for your story on Thurs afternoon.

Peyton says, "I got a blooming berry smoothie with oat milk. My sister got an iced coffee with lavender and coconut. DeBeen HP has the best pick-me-up on hot days or basically any day!

"Isabella is a regular customer. I come once in awhile when I’m in town from attending Guilford College. I day trip home frequently to High Point, but try to be a regular in the summer!"

It's been so warm over the last few days. Is it summer already? Nope! The temps are about to drop back down. But early to mid-spring has come and gone. So fast!

Spring is perhaps the most beautiful time of year in the NC Triad. After grey winter, it's the lengthening days and warmth, the skies, the trees, the greening up — but it's mostly the colorful, fragrant flowers. Too bad that there's no scratch 'n sniff!

For this week's biweekly coffee walk, we share a bouquet of flowers shot in Greensboro at the Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden and the Arboretum (Greensboro Beautiful,). Getting outside to appreciate the blossoms through the middle of spring: from redbud, dogwood, cherry trees and wisteria through azaleas, lilac and peonies.

Walk with us to savor springtime, DeBeen cup in hand! These beloved Greensboro gardens are a half-hour to 45-min from DeBeen HP & WS, and easy to get to from major roads.

The parks are about 10 min apart. They're both free and open year-round with public restrooms. They're wheelchair accessible with plenty of benches and shaded areas. Generally parking isn't a problem. Expect to see dogs (on walks), children and photographers!

Have fun on coffee walks and rides in the Carolina spring sunshine! Take time to smell the roses. Happy Earth Day next week!

Happy National Pet Day!

Shared last summer, Muggsy took off with a half-full, hot peppermint mocha latte. Longtime DeBeen family and baker extraordinaire, his mom Angie and family noticed when walking by. She says that he managed to take it inside his kennel "without spilling a drop!"

Husband Andy says, "I guess Muggsy is a big fan of DeBeen coffee as well!"

Angie says, "He gets stuff into his kennel all the time without opening said item up and with no teeth marks on any of the items he gets in there. We’re just baffled by it. He got this off the end table. My crazy Muggsy! He’s a five-year-old old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel."
