An Integrated Approach to Pain
While medical solutions are often necessary, and can provide meaningful relief, an integrated approach that melds medical and non-medical treatment is often recommended for best results. This can include massage, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, and light therapy.
Addressing the Source
illuminate the source of the pain, and it will almost always go away. Like therapy has been shown to increase the production and activity of various growth factors, as well as fibroblast and epithelial cells to assist in the healing of both acute and chronic wounds. It has also been shown to increase nitric oxide, an important vasodilator. this improves microcirculation which helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to damaged tissues for healing and repair. For these reasons, and because it’s so effective at controlling, inflammation, light therapy is widely used to help relieve pain associated with various circumstances, including arthritis, tendinitis, neuropathy is, sprains and strains.
Light therapy has also been shown to reduce the sensation by releasing painkillers, naturally produced by the body known as endorphins. In studies, light therapy has been shown to release local neurotransmitters, such as serotonin and dopamine and opioid containing immune cells that migrate to inflamed sites and release endorphins to inhibit pain.
