High-functioning anxiety isn’t a formal diagnosis. It’s a way to describe people who experience chronic anxiety but still manage to succeed in their personal or professional lives. They may appear confident, responsible, and composed, but their productivity can be fueled by worry or fear of failure.

Rather than slowing them down, anxiety pushes them to do more, achieve more, and stay in control. But beneath the surface, it takes a toll physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Here are a few things to keep in mind 👇

🔸High-functioning anxiety often hides behind success.
🔸It’s not a formal diagnosis, but it’s very real.
🔸Common signs include perfectionism, restlessness, and difficulty relaxing.
🔸It often goes unnoticed—even by the person experiencing it.
🔸Support is available — and effective.

Routines provide a sense of psychological safety, and that’s something we all need. When our days have structure, our brains feel calmer and more in control. Predictable rhythms like waking up at the same time, having regular meals, or setting aside quiet moments for rest can reduce stress, boost focus, and help regulate emotions.

Remember that adults can benefit from healthy routines, too. They create stability during uncertain times and remind us that we have control over how we show up each day. Whether it’s a morning walk, family dinner, or nightly wind-down ritual, simple habits can make life feel more balanced and peaceful.

Theta Burst Stimulation (TBS) offers a faster TMS option 👏

TBS was discovered in the early 2000’s. Research on brain rhythms identified the theta rhythm, a brainwave pattern that plays a key role in learning and memory.

Both TMS and TBS deliver magnetic pulses to the brain. The difference is that TBS produces short, rapid bursts of pulses in a rhythm that mimics how the brain naturally fires. This allows the brain to reset more quickly, leading to shorter treatment times that are just as effective.

A key takeaway 👉TBS is a faster form of TMS. Traditional TMS sessions last about 20 minutes, while TBS reduces treatment time to just four minutes.

“I don’t just read the news, I feel it.”
